We read every message and aim to respond within one business day. If you're writing about a specific record or a sync issue between your devices, it helps to include:
The device you're using (iPhone, iPad, model)
The version of iOS or iPadOS
The version of Needl (Settings → bottom of the page)
A short description of what happened and what you expected
The more we know up front, the faster we can help.

The Needl subreddit is a friendly place to share your collection, ask questions, suggest features, see what other collectors are listening to, and stay up to date on new releases of the app.
You can also open the community directly from inside the app: Settings → Reddit Community.

Common Questions

How do I add records to my library?
Tap the + button in Library or Wishlist. You can search Apple Music or Discogs, scan a vinyl barcode with your camera, or import an existing collection from Discogs.
How do I import my Discogs collection?
Tap +, choose Import from Discogs, sign in with your Discogs account, and select what you'd like to bring in. Your records will appear in your Needl library shortly afterwards.
Why aren't my records syncing between iPhone and iPad?
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID on both devices and that you have an internet connection. If a record still doesn't appear after a minute or two, pull down on the Library to refresh manually. If the issue persists, please email support.
How do I cancel my Needl Pro subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to Settings on your device → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Needl Pro → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.
How do I delete my account?
Inside Needl, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers.
How does Ask AI work?
Ask AI uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models to answer questions about albums in your library. Your questions stay on your device and are never sent to any third-party AI provider. The app fetches editorial facts about the album from our backend to ground the answer in accurate information.
How does the Listen feature work?
Listen uses Apple's ShazamKit to identify music playing around you. Audio is processed entirely on your device and never leaves it.
Is my data private?
Yes. Needl uses Sign in with Apple, never tracks you across other apps, never shows ads, and never sells your data. Read the full privacy policy for details.

Response Times and Hours

Needl is built and supported by a small, independent team. We aim to reply to every email within one business day (Monday through Friday). On weekends and holidays it may take a little longer.
For non-urgent feedback or feature ideas, the Reddit community is often the fastest way to get a response — and you'll usually get input from other collectors as well.
